Magazine analysis slideshow
This is my college magazine contents page. The background image is an original image of some money, which relates to one of the articles - "managing your money". The page number of each article is set out very clearly and the same font is used, although in different sizes to make the page look more interesting.

This is my college magazine. The masthead is written in a plain, but bold, eyecatching font. The magazine's slogan is underneath the masthead - "the voice of your college". This makes the reader feel like the magazine is relevant to them. The lead image is of a cheeful looking student, which would make the reader feel optimistic about purchasing the magazine. The main text "interview with a media student" relates to the lead image. There are also two other pieces of text that give insight to what else the magazine includes. Bright coloured text is used to catch the reader's eye.

Pulse Magazine

Pulse Magazine

I like this magazine because of the unusual layout. It displays many different colours and fonts on each page.

Glossy Magazine

Glossy Magazine Issue 4

I like this magazine because the images of fashion interest me. I also like the layout of the magazine and the styles used.
Here is the back cover of my album. It ties in with the front cover as the man has a black eye, suggesting he has been punched by the man on the front.

CD front cover

Here is the front cover of my imaginary rock / post-hardcore band "Stereo Cure". The front cover features a heavily tattooed man who is punching someone / something. This is a rather aggressive image associated with the heavy style of music. The writing on the cover is in a horror-style font which is also associated with the heavy image.

CD Front Cover Moodboard

Here is the moodboard for my CD cover design. It features images that would be associated with the genre I have chosen and the type of people that would listen to it. It features piercings, tattoos, musical instruments, skateboarding & associated fashion which is popular with many "alternative" music fans.
